DESIGN
Our design work covers everything from a neglected corner to a complete re-design. Every design is a unique response to your outdoor setting, your aspirations and your requirements.
We work collaboratively with architects, developers, builders, and private garden owners.
We start by listening and learning about your garden, about you and how you live with your outdoor space. We ask you what you want We propose the best approach. We create a brief for the project. We talk and listen some more - and then we respond. We provide you a unique solution for your outdoor space.
The process
Initial consultation
Our design process begins with a free initial one-hour consultation on site where we will have the opportunity to walk around the garden with you. We will discuss your requirements, your aspirations, and your budget. We gather any relevant information such as planning docs, tree or eco surveys. We put together a design brief and outline the design fee for you to consider.
Site survey
On acceptance of the brief and fee we will carry out a survey of your garden space to gather all the relevant existing detail. In more complex sites a surveyor may be required.
Concept design
We create initial sketch designs together with visual references for features, styling, materials and plants. We talk things through with you. When you feel ready, we finalise the design and the detail in a masterplan and provide documents as required.
Construction
We can build your project for you. Or if you have a landscaper in mind we can put together a package and we can manage the process for you. We have organised the build of our own design jobs and we have also worked from other designer’s plans. We work with a team of experienced landscapers and skilled craftspeople.
Planting
We can fulfil all the planting or a part of it - to suit you. We can produce fully detailed planting schemes that can be used for sourcing, pricing and planting. Or if you prefer we can provide a list of planting suggestions that you can use to plant up over time.
Aftercare
We can provide a full garden maintenance and management service to keep your garden looking its best.
